Londrelle

If you are looking for music and a voice and words that will pour pure love into your heart, then this is the one for you.

I purchased this one after it kept coming up on my radar several times. It was as if it was gently trying to enter my life, but first, I had to let it in.

Londrelle was not an artist that I was familiar with. The first time I heard of him was through coaching sessions that I was having in 2020. Well, the sessions turned out to be more therapy based, with some coaching on the side. After some emotional sessions, my coach sent me an album recommendation and a Spotify link for one of the artists' songs that she thought I needed to hear. The song was called Go Bravely.

I listened to the song. She was right. It resonated with me and was what I needed to hear.  It was a nice way to end our bi-weekly sessions. It was as if she was gently pushing me out on my way to push through the fear and become more of myself. Londrelle’s voice was not featured in this particular song, so I still hadn’t heard him. I didn't listen to the album, and it wouldn’t be until the following year that I did.

Do you remember when you first heard a song for the first time, and it was as if the artist was speaking directly to you and only you? Or when something entered your life just when you needed it, and you knew it was sent to you. This is how I felt when I first heard Londrelle’s voice.

It was in a friend's car on the way back from the Reconnect Retreat (see Travel Diaries).  After a few songs had played in the background whilst we were all talking, I asked her who is this?  She said it was an artist called Londrelle. The next song played, the next song played, and the next, and I just listened.

His words on this album were the perfect way to close out our spiritual retreat and what we had just experienced.  I made a mental note to purchase the album on iTunes, but I didn’t do it straight away for some reason. I hadn’t yet realised this was the same guy that had been recommended to me by my coach.

Less than a week later, I heard his voice again on Devi Brown’s podcast, Dropping Gems. He speaks exactly the same way he sounds in his music. His voice is different and so captivating. It moves in a type of rhythm, a bit similar to how Kendrick Lamar raps. His poetic words were all about chakras, opening your heart space, gratitude, healing, peace, love, and letting go of trauma. You are enough. I can see why this was gently trying to enter my own heart space as part of my healing and self-discovery journey.

After this, I did a deep dive into any available information online to learn more about the artist Londrelle. His early story is one of sadness and trauma and a powerful and powerful and inspirational story of healing, growth, and finding your purpose.

I didn't purchase the album until August, months later. Don't ask me why I waited so long because I still do not know. After going on to Apple music one day, Stay Free was mine in a few clicks. It was then that I realised when hearing Go Bravely that this was the artist that had been recommended to me by my coach.

I don’t know how many times I have listened to the album since. Every time I listen to it, I get something new. It is a Soul album that speaks to the deepest parts of me. The song titles alone could be used as daily affirmations.

It’s rare these days to listen to a full album in the sequence the artist designed for it to be played. I’ve never skipped one song or beat on this one. The beauty and wisdom in Londrelle’s words and the meditative sound of his voice moves me more seamlessly into the space I meditate daily to try to access.

I wish the philosophy and wisdom he shares were more mainstream. It is what we need more of. Not just the words and emotions but to know that change, healing, and transformation are possible even when things can be so dark.  Also, being an independent artist without a big corporate machine behind his work, you probably have to be seeking or on a spiritual journey to find him. It's unlikely to be played on popular radio stations.

It’s only right that I share something so beautiful and healing with you, and I hope the love and healing from his music go right into the places where you need it most.

And Londrelle has so much more. More music, poetry books, and even an App - Eternal Sunshine. I am so glad that it was shared with me, and more importantly, Londrelle shares so much of himself to help others. He is a spiritual warrior so full of light and wisdom who has transformed his pain and is an example that others can do the same. It is only right that I share this with you too.
